The mission of Dreamshine at Autumn Lakes, LLC is to ensure the highest quality of independence, personal growth, and social interaction for individuals with special needs. We provide a safe and caring environment where participants can have fun while exploring new interests and activities (on site and in the community).
Dreamshine is owned and operated by Amy and Mark Minard, a brother and sister team. Mark and Amy have a passion for creating and maintaining a high quality program, always looking out for the best interest of our participants. All Dreamshine staff are required to have current First Aid and CPR certification. Dreamshine staff must pass a background check as well as the abuser and Nurse Aid registry check prior to starting work at Dreamshine. Prior to driving participants, Dreamshine staff must pass a BMV driving record check as well as submit a UA. Dreamshine staff will receive initial and ongoing training at Dreamshine.
In both of our compliance reviews (2008 and 2011) the Ohio Department of ODODD declared Dreamshine as being in 100% compliance under chapter 5123 of the Ohio Revised Code.
Dreamshine Owners/Administrators:
Mark Minard has a BS in Psychology and four years of experience working as a special education teacher assistant, a group home manager and an independent provider for children and adults with special needs. Mark has been the executive Director/administrator of Dreamshine since Dreamshine opened in May of 2007. In addition to overseeing overall quality of programming at Dreamshine, Mark oversees Vocational job option/Country Store planning as well as PAWS/PAS Medicaid billing. Mark is also our payroll specialist.
Amy Minard has a BA in Psychology and seven years of experience as a case manager and independent provider for children and adults with special needs. Amy has been the executive director/administrator of Dreamshine since Dreamshine opened in May of 2007. In addition to overseeing overall quality of programming at Dreamshine, Amy also oversees behaviorial interventions at Dreamshine as well as MUI and UI prevention and intervention. Amy is also our Quickbooks entry specialist.

Dreamshine Cabin Floor Manager/Cabin and CottageTransportation Coordinator:
Nate Rich has many years of experience with individuals with disablities and is very skilled in working with all levels of developmental disabilities. Nate oversees our transportation routes and assures programming is running smoothly in all groups each day. Nate has been with Dreamshine since the fall of 2007and we are so blessed to have him!

Dreamshine Cabin Direct Care Staff
Tony Newberry joined our team in April of 2010. Tony is great with our participants! Tony has experience in retail, sales and volunteering with individuals with disabilities in a school setting (Tony brings his therapy dog to visit individuals!). Tony is currently working towards a BA degree in Psychology. We are happy to have Tony on our team!
Dreamshine Cabin Direct Care Staff and Cabin/Cottage Vocational Coordinator:
Bryan Ziegler joined our team in the fall of 2008 and has a great amount of experience working with youth groups as well as helping to create innovative programs. Bryan does a wonderful job of working with our participants as well as coming up with and implementing new ideas! Bryan is overseeing our vocational project inventory and planning for orders that come in and ongoing store contracts.
Dreamshine Cabin Direct Care Staff and Program/Educational Coordinator:
Holly Ward joined our team in the spring of 2009 and has a great amount of experience as a teachers aid in a special education classroom. Holly has an Associate of Arts degree in Human and Social Services. Holly is very positive and creative and is so great with our participants! Holly plans and implements our daily educational curriculum well as the daily schedules for participants.
Dreamshine Cabin Direct Care staff and Cabin/Cottage Art Coordinator:
Matt Boggs joined Dreamshine in August of 2009. Matt has many years of experience working with individuals with disabilities in both group and individual settings. Matt is very patient and has a great sense of humor with our participants. Matt is a very talented artist and does the planning for our weekly art activities.
Dreamshine Cottage Direct Care Staff
We are happy to have David Lloyd, Holly Ward and Iyeba Kakay-Minard as direct care staff at our Cottage location! More info to come...
All staff have background checks completed prior to working with participants and are trained in CPR and First Aid as well as individual specific training for each participant (in addition to other trainings). In addition to these things, staff who drive have a Dr's physical and a Drug UA completed as well as a BMV records check completed before driving participants.
